Pebbles Calculator
One of the most common questions we get asked is how many bags of
pebbles will I need to do my area. Our pebble calculator gives an estimate
of how much you will need.
As a general guide:
- Smaller sized pebbles give better coverage so for the same area you
will need less bags of pebbles to complete the job
- Pebbles when used loose are put down in layers (one on top of the
other). For best coverage (you cannot see through the pebbles to the
ground below) we recommend a minimum of 2 layers.
- If cost is an issue you can build the height up under the pebbles
using weed mat or various forms of inexpensive crushed toppings.
- Pebble calculations are made using the 5 bags or more price. The 5
bags can be made up of any colour or size combination.
- For pebbles that are going to be used in exposed aggregate (seeded
into the concrete close together) approximately 1 x 20kg bag per 1.5sqm
is needed.
